Hi, and welcome to this blog! Honestly, I'm surprised you're here. But as you've arrived, take a minute or so to look around. This is What We Eat When.
The last thing the world really needs is another food blog, and not only am I not a chef or a recipe developer, I am also not a photographer. There are and will be no photos of amazing, original food or artfully arranged ingredients. I will not surprise anyone with unexpected combinations nor will you find the next soon-to-be everywhere food here. And your life will continue on without viewing a photo of my kitchen.
However, I do like to cook and I love to plan.* This blog is an attempt to organize my personal recipe collection, and to make menu-planning a little easier each season. I always think I'll remember what to put together, but each year proves I've overestimated my mental powers. I also want to be able to find all our favorite recipes featuring whatever ingredient was available in abundance at our farmer's market. I'll post links to recipes if and when I have them, my own notes for adjusting or altering a recipe, suggested sides so you don't end up with just a main dish and draw a few blanks on what to add to it to call it dinner, and finally, a LOT of ingredient tags. Here's hoping it helps make your dinner more delicious!

*My college roommates thought (in the nicest possible way) that my menu cards were hilarious. And not making a list before heading to the grocery store with a week's worth of food planned is baffling to me.
